During the summer of 2016 SAS Ltd were contracted to conduct a Building Survey on the Santander Bank Plc Head Quarters in Bootle, Merseyside.
The inspection uncovered some stone and concrete clad elevations which posed a potential risk to Bank personnel due to the poor adhesion of some of the rocks. To mitigate the risk of falling objects it was decided that high tensile nylon netting should be installed to provide an aesthetically acceptable means to make the elevations safe for personnel walking below.
Using a stainless steel wire frame with turnbuckles SAS fitted high tensile netting on all floors enabling normal use of the building to resume. Delivering the work with rope access as the means of work positioning meant the budgets for the work were kept down without compromising health and safety.
