Conducting Building Surveys often involves inspecting tall buildings that are leaking, to establish where water is entering the structure, and is an important service delivered by SAS Ltd. Using IRATA industrial Rope Access systems for work positioning enables our teams to access tall structures safely and with a minimum of disruption to operations in the building and to the public in the vicinity.

Detecting the source of leaks into a building can be a real headache for facilities managers. SAS Ltd bring a wealth of experience and technology to help resolve these issues safely, quickly and cost effectively. In many cases the source of water ingress to a building becomes obvious upon conducting a detailed visual survey. Sometimes though it is necessary to look a little deeper in order to establish the problem.

The photograph shows an SAS Ltd building surveyor conducting an endoscopic inspection of a block cavity wall to establish the design of cavity tray details and other features hidden from sight within the building’s structure.
